UCS: how do you feel about body enhancements? breast jobs, butt shot etc. Would you ever consider doing anything cosmetically like that?… not that you need it

We caught up with Courtney Rose repping the 918, TULSA Oklahoma for those of you who might be lost right now lol, apparently When you think of Oklahoma most people think of the sticks, well we at urbancandyshop.com hope by the time your done looking at this sizzling exclusive photo spread Courtney did for urbancandyshop.com something else will come to mind when you think of  OK, OK!!?! lol.

UCS: First of all I would like to thank you for shooting with urbancandyshop.com! we are definately glad to have you on the site in such a big way!

CR: Thank you for having me, I really appreciate you!

UCS: How old are you

CR: I am 24! I have a birthday coming up April 24th actually.

Ucs: How long have you been pursuing your modeling career?

CR: I am just getting my feet wet. It will be a year this July. Things have really taken off for me just in this first year, though, it’s been crazy.

UCS: share with us a few projects you’ve done so far

CR: I had the opportunity to work with Boomtown for Super Jays single Put It On the Set it just premiered February 23rd on World Star Hip Hop. I also had the opportunity to work T.O.’s party All Star Weekend, which All Star Weekend is where I met Mike Moodswing, Dorrough’s manager and he called me up to be in Dorrough and Yo Gotti’s new banger Hood Chick Fetish. I have hosted quite a few events such as Biker Boyz Weekend, Black and White Affair, as well as one of 6TreG’s concert. I have been featured on Hoodbeats.com and the list goes on. Like I said it’s just been crazy this first year but I’m loving it.

UCS: Give us your measurements

CR: 34, 28, 36

UCS: What do you like to do for fun?

CR: I enjoy bowling, my manager and bunch of artists and DJs /friends get together Sunday nights and bowl. I like to eat lol. Some of my friends have dubbed me Young Hungry. Relaxing every chance I get because I’m just so busy, listening to music, I love going to the movies, and just being active for me is fun. I’m not one to sit still or stay in the house all day.

UCS: can you cook? if so whats your specialty?

CR: Of course I can cook, I’m a southern girl! I like trying new things. I don’t enjoy cooking if I am cooking the same thing over and over. One of my specialties is chicken cacciatore, it’s Italian.

UCS: Are you into sports at all?

CR: I’m a sports fanatic! I love basketball and football. And I’m not talkin’ about I like it because it impresses the guys, I LIKE it to the point that I’m talkin’ trash back and forth to the guys about how much better my team is and stats on players, lol.

UCS: What kind of candy would you say best describes you and why?

CR: That’s a hard one…I would say a blow pop, lol. Hard on the outside but soft on the inside. I come off a little tough sometimes.

UCS: Are you in school?

CR: Yes, I am currently in my masters program pursuing my MBA. I have a bachelor’s in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology. Education is extremely important to me, top of my list after the good Lord.

UCS: Are you dating or in a relationship?

CR: You gotta ask the dating question, lol. There is someone special, yes.

UCS: do you normally lie about being in a relationship to ward off guys? lol

CR: No, honesty is definitely the best method. I just tell them I’m not interested if that’s the case.

UCS: which part of you would you say gets the most compliments?

CR: To each his own! If that is what a person wants and it makes them feel good about themselves that’s their business. I have considered it but then I just think that natural beauty is way sexier, in my opinion.

UCS: If you could date any one who would you choose and why?

CR: There are so many people to choose from. I would have to say our President. Obama is educated, articulate, powerful, fit, and sophisticated. He definitely does it for me.

UCS: Things one might find under your bed? lol

CR: LOL wow I hate to kill the mood but you might find some high heels and books (textbooks that is lol).

UCS: if you had to choose one quality in a guy would it be brains, braun, or money? only one~

CR: Brains…if they are smart they will figure out how to get the money.

UCS: Your photoshoot was pretty steamy.. did you feel as sexy as you looked?

CR: Yes the shoot was hot! Denice is amazing to work with and she brings out the best in you. It was one of the sexiest shoots I have done.

UCS: Any bedroom fetishes?

CR: High heels lol on me of course

UCS: tell us the wildest place you ever done the “wild thing”

CR: I’m pretty modest when it comes to kiss and tell but I will say it was with someone I was in a serious relationship with back when I was in undergrad in college, there was a chance of people walking in and I’m not talkin’ about the dorm room lol.

UCS: Tell urbancandyshop about your ultimate sexual fantasy

CR: The ultimate fantasy for me would be something fun and playful, nothing serious, maybe a little messy lol like whip cream and chocolate syrup then a shower to clean it all up.

UCS: Do alot of women hit on you if so how do you feel about it?

CR: I have had a few women hit on me. I don’t think it’s a big deal but I tell them politely that I’m not interested in women.

UCS: Whats on your ipod right now?

CR: There are a lot of Oklahoma artists on my ipod right now as well as a wide range in genres, Young Los, Young Star, Prez, Villin, Throwed, Yo Gotti, Lady Gaga, Kings of Leon, Dorrough, Gucci, Lil’ Wayne, Rasheeda, UGK, etc. I really like hearing artists’ mixtapes but the list goes on.

UCS: what projects can we look forward to seeing courtney rose in this year?

CR: I have the best manager behind me Tai Jones with Forty Models so the possibilities are endless! I am currently working on getting my website up and running, I have a calendar in the works, and I have a couple more video appearances you will see me in. It’s all about hard work and persistence.

UCS: its really been a pleasure having you on the site and the Photoshoot was AMAZING!! we’d love to have you back for a part 2 how do you feel about that?

UCS: You are the first model to actually shoot for Urbancandyshop.com thats history! in my book, how do you feel about that?

CN: I’m very flattered to be the first kiss… I mean model to have that opportunity!;-)

UCS: Why dont you start off by telling our readers where your from

CN: I am from a little town in Oklahoma.. Altus, OK. I was hiding in the cornstalks but everyone just keeps managing to find me.

UCS: Are you the party type? or do you prefer to just stay home and kick it?

CN: It depends… I love to be out with my girls and have fun, but when I’m in a relationship… I love to stay home and spend time with my man.

UCS: Do you get hit on alot or are guys too intimidated?

CN: A little bit of both… Just depends on where I am.

UCS: Name your best Quality something people would say about you when your not in the same room.

CN: Probably surprised at how down-to-Earth I am. I get that one a lot.

UCS: Which magazines or websites do you feel like are really making an imprint right now in this industry?

CN: Maxim, Playboy, King, urbancandyshop.com, 24hourhiphop.com, and dreamhouse.com

UCS: Whats the main thing you look for in a man?

CN: I require 3 things from a man.. He doesn’t need to have all the riches but just these 3 things.. 1. Trust 2. Love 3. Attention

UCS: First impressions are everything, whats the first thing  a guy can do to get your undevided attention

CN: Just be himself. I hate when guys are flashy or just plain corny.

UCS: Beautiful women often times attract beautiful women, do you find women attractive at all?

CN: Oh most definitely. All women are beautiful. I think no matter height, weight, size, shape all women everywhere should be told how beautiful they are.

UCS: whats the sexiest thing about the female anatomy to you?

CN: A woman with a gorgeous face… I completely understand why Adam ate the apple.

UCS: Where is the craziest place you have ever done the wild thing lol~

CN: In the dressing room of a store in a dress I was trying on… And I didn’t buy the dress. Sorry for the Monica Lewinski stain. Haha!

UCS: You looked great being covered in all that chocolate for urbancandyshop..Im really curious to know, has anyone covered you in chocolate like that before?

CN: No I’ve been covered in something even more sticky… Honey.

UCS: Are you easily Embarassed ? share the most embarrasing moment you can think of

CN: I’m really clumsy so I am not easily embarrassed because I tend to trip over my own feet and run into doors. Hey it happens.

UCS: your body is pretty athletic looking did you play any sports growing up?

CN: I played softball and danced… And my body just stayed pretty toned. I was actually pretty good at softball. I still miss it, and think about going back to school to play.

UCS: what made you get into modeling has this always been a dream of yours?

CN: Actually this is something that kind of came to me. Different photographers kept approaching me and kept saying no. After a while, I just figured I have nothing to lose and gave in. And POW here I am.

UCS: Are there any models you feel like are really just Killing it right now?

CN: I love my friend Rosa Acosta. Her beauty on the inside matches the outside. Her pictures are phenomenal. And this past weekend I met a lot of models that are gorgeous and so sweet Amazing Amie, Jessica Burciaga, Pam Rodriguez, Vanessa Veasley, Paola Garcia, etc. If I forgot anyone I am sorry. But all really sweet girls with great pictures.

UCS: what’s your main goal for 2010?

CN: To be better. People can always be good, but we can always be better.

UCS: what do you hope to ultimately take from your modeling career?

CN: Just a positive experience.

UCS: When your not hosting events or being in front of the camera what do you spend most of your time doing?

CN: I have a son that I adore. I love to spend time with him and watch his favorite movie Space Jam 3 times a day. I love to spend time with all my family. Especially my mother. She’s my #1 fan and I love her. She’s always pushing me to be better.

UCS: any last words youd like to leave our readers with?

CN: I really would like to thank everyone for the support and love that they show me… I really do appreciate it all. UCS: First of all Shaneil Thanks for stopping
by the candyshop we really appreciate you being
a part of the movement!

UCS: First off why dont you tell everyone where
your from?

Shaneil: I’m from Salem Oregon…you know that little state between Washington and California lol, home of the Blazers

UCS: what would you say is the hardest obstacle of becoming
an established figure in the urban modeling business?

Shaneil: Really for me is just getting seen by the right people, I learned real fast its not always about what you know and how good you are but WHO you know

UCS: Physically or Mentally what would you say is your best
personal asset?

Shaneil: Well I can’t pin point one thing but I do have a down to earth personality. When people see me they are intimidated, think I might be a bitch but you can’t judge a book by its cover. I don’t know how many times people have said…OMG, I SO expected you to be stuck up, but I’m not…I’m a people person and physically I would say my eyes and smile

UCS: What Mens magazine would you say really has the “Juice” right now

Shaneil: The magazine industry is really hurting right now with the recession and all but there are still a few out there, blackmens, urbancandyshop, XXL, smooth, vblazin and show

UCS: how do you feel about the sudden spike of buttock enhancements over
the past couple of years in the urban modeling business?

Shaneil: I say to each its own, I don’t knock anyones hustle. I personally wouldn’t do it but I know it has “enhanced” a lot of careers. I appreciate everything I was given and don’t want to be 70 years old  and ugh…yeah, no thanks just had a visual!

UCS: would you ever consider any type of cosmetic upgrades?

Shaneil: Again, no knock to anyones decision to do but its just not my cup of tea. I love the way I look…thanj you mommy and daddy, the only thing I do artificial is wear make up but I’m just enhancing the beauty I already have. I use to watch those shows, the worlds most beautiful women and I think they should have 2 categories; the ladies who have had cosmetic upgrades and body enhancements and the ladies who are 100( Pure)cent Natu(Real) and that’s no disrespect to anyone

UCS: obviously you put alot of work in at the gym by the looks of it.
Whats your daily workout routine like?

Shaneil: Well I was a fitness manager for 6 years\personal trainer  and if I don’t take care of this body who will? I go to the gym 4 days a week and on my off days I get about an hour of cardio in but its not just working out as most know eating right goes hand in hand with exercising. I don’t claim to be perfect in that area but everything in moderation because I love to cook. The family calls me the black Martha Stewart, without the legal issues of course

UCS: How should a guy approach you if he wants to get to know you better?

Shaneil: I don’t know how he should approach but how he shouldn’t is with corny ass lines, trying to show off or flaunt his bling bling etc. And he better have clean nails and shoes because those are some of the first things I look at when a guy approaches me and please no yuck mouths

UCS: Gangsta or Gentlemen?

Shaneil: I don’t really have a preference on who I date, I just like who I like. My friends and family say I have weird taste but I’ve dated a little bit of everthing… Tall, short, young, old, white, gangsta, square but still particular about them I don’t just date whoever is interested in me lol

UCS: Valentines day is here already, whats the most Romantic Vday
experience youve had so far?

Shaneil: Sad to say Ive only had 2 valentines when I was in a relationship and one I was seeing but we weren’t exclusive. But my ex took me out to dinner at the most expensive restuarant in town, then got us a suite at the best hotel on the top floor and just had a wonderful night…champagne and strawberries and had a little  fun on the piano. This year I will be solo though, now I’m sad haha

UCS: Whats playing on your Ipod right now?

Shaneil: Trey Songz….I’m ready. Its on my ipod, the CD is in my car and my bathroom. I love him lol, he doesn’t know it yet but that’s my future ex husband

UCS: I know alot of men probably hit on you… what about women?
are the ladys checking for you too.. if so how do you feel about it?

Shaneil: I’m a ladies woman too, It doesn’t bother me

UCS: Major Turn offs?

Shaneil:

Shaneil: Um, I like to play scrabble, do word finds, and put together jigsaw puzzles

Shaneil: I really don’t have a fave anything but I enjoy watching lifetime

UCS: This modeling business has its high and low points.. whats the
worst experience youve had so far in this industry?

Shaneil: Going to a casting call and waiting for hours, just for them to give me a number and take a picture then come to find out later it was to bring bodies to the club and they already had chosen the girls a week before!

UCS: Are other models good at supporting each other in this industry or do
things tend to get a bit competitive?

Shaneil: I think there are clicks in the industry they support each other to a certain extent, I’m just going off what I’ve heard, as I am new to the game but it is a job and your not friends or co workers when it comes to trying to get a certain job….that other model is your competition

UCS: Urbancandyshop studios is in the works.. any chance we might be able to
get you to do an exclusive shoot with us in the future?

Shaneil: I would love to, just let me know when and where!

Furniture

The Recliner

A great recliner is a must have for any bachelor pad When you get home from a hard day of work youll want to kick your feet up look around and say im home!! what better way to do this than a nice cozy recliner, I would suggest investing in a nice leather one that compliments the mood of your room if you cant afford the leather then dont fret theres plenty of other options out there that look and feel just as great.

Couch Or Love seat

If you have minimal furniture at least make sure you have a comfortable couch or loveseat in your apartment! buy the best couch or loveseat you can afford, you want  your dates to feel comfortable and relaxed if she’s uncomfortable and has to constantly move around to relax that may call for a short night and prompt her to leave earlier than planned.

Coffee Table:

A nice coffee table can bring it all together, its usually the center or attention in any Den or living room so you’ll want to make sure you pick out something that really compliments the decor of the room.

Entertainment

Music

Its 2010 so by now I hope you’ve tossed out that old cd player and replaced it with some type of mp3 device IE ipod or equivalent.load it with a broad range of music and keep it on standby, When there’s no DJ have trust in the Shuffle lol, after all being a bachelor can be impulsive sometimes to say the least.

FLAT SCREEN

The flat screen tv or big screen tv is a major staple of any bachelor pad, dont be afraid to splurge a little and go HD 40″ or better to give you and your  company the best viewing experience possible, Watching the game with the fellas or watching movies with that special somebody will never be the same once you go HD trust me youll thank me later.

Surround sound

Whats the point of having that nice big screen if you dont have the nice big sound to match? the surround sound stereo system is great for watching movies with friends or alone and can even supply the tunes for a party.

DVDs
Head to your local best buy or walmart and stock up on DVD’s to keep your company engaged! and don’t just buy guy movies buy some chick flicks as well you wouldn’t want to miss the opportunity to “console” a lady friend now would you?

Food

Snacks:

You’ll want to  keep some snacks on hand for any gathering big or small. Try to keep at least the basics potato chips, Dip, Popcorn,  fresh fruit ,vegetables and Bread or crackers for sandwiches or appetizers.

Beverages

Drinks are important to any Bachelor pad, keep your fridge stocked with plenty of refreshments. its important that you keep water, soda, wine and beer stocked in your icebox  to keep your company feeling right at home.

Games

Consoles

PS3, X box, or Wii take your pick. There is no shortage of video gaming consoles for you and your friends to stay immersed in hours of fun and laughter. keep some multiplayer games on hand so nobody gets excluded.

Board games

Lets not forget this is the digital age but old fashioned board games can be just as fun as X box ps3 or Wii and if your short on cash a board game is going to be alot cheaper as well. keep a couple of essential board games like Monopoly and sorry.

Art

Vintage or pop art is a good way to add some style to any bachelor pad, Think tasteful shy away from cheesy pieces like Lava lamps and neon lights. A vintage poster or magazine cover in a frame can look great and add a nice feel to your bachelor pad.

Whats To Read?

Youll want to keep some decent reading material on that coffee table, think lifestyle magazines, fashion magazine and sports magazines, shy away from the stuff you wouldnt want your mother to see lol. Even though this is your bachelors pad you dont want to come off sleezy to a date or possibly even offend a friend or family member, keep it appropriate.

Blowing smoke

Keep some fine cigars saved for a rainy day, you never know when you and some friends may want to celebrate in a major way.

Last Call For Alcohol

Last but not least youll want to invest in a Martini set and keep a special place in your kitchen or dining area thats well stocked with the essentials, Some vodka, Gin and of course a smooth cognac for starters. Visit www.drinksmixer.com for some good martini and drink recipes.

After you’ve searched the earth high and low , online, offline in the news paper and in the yellow pages for a job when you finally nail down that interview you don’t want to blow it by reflecting your self in the wrong light.
Here at Urbancandyshop we thought we’d cover some interviewing basics that should help you not only look good doing the interview but also maybe even get you the job and that’s the main goal isn’t it?.

Personal hygiene

I know none of us are in grade school anymore and by now we should all know proper personal hygiene, but just incase some of you missed it be sure to shower before your interview, be sure your finger nails are clipped to a proper length and clean, be sure to brush floss and rinse nobody likes to be face to face with bad breath and you dont want that to be the only thing t the employer remembers you for when you step out that office. ( dont wear cologne) or Perfume’ it may be a distraction to your interviewer, the fresh scent of deoderant or soap should do for the ocassion.

Be On Time!

I cant stress this enough, being punctual to the interview says alot to the employer about what kind of employee you will be in the long run. If something comes up and you cant make it to the interview on time it’s best that you call and request that the interview be rescheduled.

The introduction:

When your invited in to the office for your interview wait to be seated. dont just jump into  the first available seat! wait until your offered a seat or ask politely (May I have a seat)  it may seem stupid but this shows that you how to listen and take directions. No matter how high up on the ladder you are in your career field or workplace you still have to be good at taking some type of direction.

The handshake:

Be sure your handshake is solid and firm when you introduce yourself,  your hand shake is a show of confidence and character the employer may mistake a weak handshake for  personal weakness, you want to exude power and confidence so keep those handshakes solid and firm to let them know you mean business and your ready to take control.

Dress to Impress

Dressing for your interview may get kind of confusing so let me break it down to you as simple as possible. You don’t want to under dress and you don’t want to overdress for your interview…… For example if your interviewing at a department store and every one wears polo’s and khakis,  then you don’t want to show up in jeans and a T shirt and you also don’t want to show up in a suit and tie. You want to dress just a step above whats going on in the workplace. So if employees are wearing khakis and polo’s you’ll want to wear maybe some  slacks and a sweater or a nice button down dress shirt with no tie and some nice casual shoes.( no tennis shoes please!!) if its the occasion your in a more professional enviroment where employees are wearing slacks and dress shirts then dont be afraid to step above and beyond and reach for a tie or even a  blazer.

Body Language

Dont slouch in your seat use good posture, be sure to make eye contact with every question asked looking someone in the eyes conveys trust and nobody wants to hire someone they feel like they cant trust. Address your interviewer by his or hers last name when you respond but dont over do it this should be used in moderation and helps to establish rapport with the employer.

shy away from bad mouthing and don’t lie!

Many times in an interview we are asked about a past employer or why you may have left your last position.  first and foremost if you were fire please be honest about it.  Don’t be afraid to explain why you were fired and what you may have learned from that experience to make you a better employee in the long run. When asked about past working enviroments do your best not to badmouth your previous boss or company this is just messy and portrays you in a bad light, If you cant say anything positive or constructive about your past place of employment then don’t say anything at all. Do not paint ugly pictures of people when they are not around you don’t want your interviewer wondering what you say about them when they aren’t around to defend themselves too.

You can never thank enough

Before you leave dont forget to say thank you , be sure to thank the interviewer for his or her time and let them know you value the importance of there time. Thank them upon your introduction, midway if the opportunity permits and at the end of the interview. The last thankyou you will want to consider is a formal thank you, When the interview is over and your at home waiting for that call back. be sure to write a brief thank you letter  sending a thank you letter by snail mail may set you apart from all other candidates and may be the action that prompts them to call you back for a 2nd interview or maybe even get you hired. So please don’t over look this small detail.

Chin up back straight and walk with confidence! keep these basic interview elements in mind speak clearly and come prepared, you should have no problem winning your interviewer over and leaving a mark of professionalism when you leave that day. Good luck and remember your first impression is the most important, don’t leave with your employer thinking about how bad your breath was, or how wrinkled your jeans and T shirt was when you walked in.
